1. Rural city in the western part of Victoria, Australia. Prominent winner of Australia’s “tidiest town” award in 2001. Has great fireworks. Usage: “Let’s go visit Horsham and watch the fireworks!”

1. To beat a player, in any type of competitive card playing game by one unit. i.e. 3-2 and K-Q. Usage “You horshammed me!”

Is My Marriage Gay? (not mine, but the author's)

This is a really fascinating article showing the paradox of trying to legislate gender. Interesting analysis of how Texas was actually the first state to allow gay marriage. (To find out why, read the article). Basically, it boils down to the fact that gender can’t be defined 100% of the time and so deciding who can marry whom is totally irrational. I very strongly suggest that everyone read this. Thanks to my WBIL for this.
