The Horshammeron

In the 1350’s Giovanni Boccaccio wrote the book “The Decameron.” It is a collection of 100 short stories varying in topic but many deal with romance and eroticism. Anyway, the framework for the short stories is that 5 Italian couples decide to flee Florence and escape to the Italian countryside to avoid the spreading of the Black Plague which is running rampant in the cities. they pass the time in the countryside villa by each taking a turn telling stories for a day. (It is a very humorous book and I suggest it to anyone, thank you Core Curriculum). The point of bringing up this book, is to inform you, loyal readers of www.horshammed.com, of the brief hiatus the blog will endure while my wife and I take a ten day refuge in the Italian countryside to avoid Swine Flu (commonly referred to as “the black plague of 2009”) We will return on May 10th and posting will resume then. Please do not lose faith in horshammed, it will be back.
